Oshies been under performing this year. A change of scenorie could be something he needs to get clicking again

True but considering his age and contract stays, that's a puzzling deal for the Blues....

Yeah, he's also pretty popular within St. Louis from what I gather.

B's would likely have to add something.

Notion is Loui has a year less on his deal and Blues are looking forward to pending RFA's in the next year or two. On an overall career basis and in the current year they've produced at essentially the exact same pace. Oshie's a fan fav which obviously makes him difficult to give up but really not much of a gap skill wise at all (in fact Loui likely has the higher ceiling if he can re-gain his touch). I'd agree that B's would likely add, but I don't see the value having THAT much gap. Perhaps a Loui/Spooner for Oshie/lesser prospect or pick or something along those lines.

He's only a year younger than Loui and makes almost an identical amount.

Not yet ... but soon

Oshie has hit exactly 60 points once in his career. Loui's topped that number 4 times.

Edit: For some reason people seem to think Oshie is a big producer. He's consistent but he hasn't shown to be any more than a 20 goal, 50-60 point guy. I think he's a great player but people tend to think he's an offensive stud when he's not or at least hasn't shown he can be.

Really? Seems like Loui has been around forever and Oshie was a rookie just yesterday.

I agree, The shoot-outs in the Olympics made him an instant Star, but he is over-rated

Not so sure. Eriksson was very quiet point getter in Dallas. Maybe he is better suited for the West.

Yeah maybe that's why I thought Erikson was older. Seem to remember him burning the Oilers a lot, for a long time. Oshie not so much.

I think Loui made the NHL jump sooner so he may have an extra 2 NHL seasons under his belt, but yeah a little better than a year difference in age.

During the international interview, didn't Erikkson say if he played with the Sedins, he could easily score 40+ goals? I mean he did play on the Sedins line for Swiss during the olympics and he said that he likes it. maybe he should be traded to Vancouver in exchange for Kassian + a prospect + a rounder.
